4ALL Returns to Sundance — Expanding Accessibility Across the Festival in 2026

We’re thrilled to share that 4ALL.Live, our real-time captions and translation platform, once again served as the official accessibility solution for the Sundance Institute at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Following an incredible first year supporting the festival, 4ALL returned in 2026 with an even bigger presence—bringing accessibility to more venues, more audiences, and more conversations across the festival than ever before.

Last year marked our debut at Sundance, where we supported accessibility across a handful of venues. This year, 4ALL.Live was found at 15 different venues across the festival, becoming a familiar presence from theater to theater.

Whether audiences were attending filmmaker Q&As, panels, or screenings, 4ALL was everywhere—ensuring that every attendee could stay fully engaged with the stories and discussions happening in real time.

From side-by-side stage monitors displaying live captions to scannable QR codes that brought captions and translations directly to audience members’ phones, our platform helped guarantee that everyone was in the moment. Sharing laughs, tears, and cheers with one another all throughout the festival.

Accessibility That Connects Audiences and Storytellers

Our team witnessed firsthand how powerful accessibility can be in bringing audiences and filmmakers closer together. By providing seamless captions and translation across devices, 4ALL.Live helped ensure that language and hearing ability were never barriers to experiencing Sundance’s incredible lineup of films, panels, and conversations.

Behind the scenes, accessibility at this scale required close collaboration with the festival’s technical teams. Throughout the festival, Damian Petrou, Dicky Thomas, Johan Romero, and Anish Menon visited all 15 venues, working directly with projectionists to train them on how to run the 4ALL.Live platform. Taking a first hand approach to creating a more inclusive and connected experience across every venue we supported.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. Projectionists quickly got the hang of the software, allowing the system to run smoothly across venues and helping ensure that accessibility remained consistent throughout the festival. The hands-on collaboration also created a valuable feedback loop—projectionists were able to share insights and suggestions in real time, helping our team better understand the user experience and continue improving the platform for future events.

A Game-Changing Partnership

Holden Payne, Technology Director at the Sundance Institute, shared this about working with our platform last year of 2025:

“The 4ALL platform exceeded our expectations and saved us a lot of money and time compared to our previous captioning methods. The platform helped make this year’s festival the most accessible we’ve had. What you and the team brought was a huge win for us — truly a game changer in how we operated. We’ve been singing its praises ever since.”

Feedback like this fuels our passion for continuing to push accessibility forward at live events.

Looking Ahead

We couldn’t be more proud to partner with the Sundance Institute as its official accessibility solution—not just for this year’s festival, but for the future as well.

As Sundance prepares for its next chapter—the upcoming move from Park City to Boulder—we’re excited to continue the journey alongside them. A new location brings new opportunities, new venues, and a fresh environment for storytelling, and we’re thrilled to help carry accessibility into this next era of the festival.

That being said, Park City will always hold a special place in the 4ALL story as one of the major birthplaces on our journey to revolutionize accessibility. It was one of our first major productions, made unforgettable by the people, the energy, and the recognition of our product.

With the future in focus, we’re also preparing to introduce one of our most exciting platform advancements yet: ASL Video Integration.

This upcoming feature will allow American Sign Language interpreters to join the 4ALL.Live platform remotely, providing real-time interpretation through a live video window integrated directly into the experience for attendees. By enabling interpreters to work from anywhere—whether they’re miles away or across the country—we’re opening new possibilities not only for the professionals who provide these essential services, but also for audiences who benefit from them.

We believe this innovation will help transform how live events approach accessibility, giving organizers more flexibility while expanding options for attendees who rely on or prefer ASL interpretation.

As 4ALL continues to grow alongside the Sundance community, we remain committed to building technology that brings people closer to the moments that matter.

Here’s to a future where every voice is heard and everyone belongs in the moment.
